New York # Matt Damon

Existem milhares de filmes rodados em Nova York. Na terça feira quando passeava por Madison Square, reparei que estavam a rodar um filme. Aproximei-me e qual não é o meu espanto ao reparar no actor que lá estava, nada menos nada mais que Matt Damon!!!
Ao principio fiz umas fotos de longe, mas depois de passar despercebido á segurança que não deixava ninguem chegar perto, lá consegui fotografa-lo melhor, até ele próprio ficou espantado!!!
A cena era do novo filme "The Adjustment Bureu" realizado por George Nolfi e que irá estrear em 2010.
Pelo que vi Matt estava a apanhar o autocarro juntamente com outras pessoas que eram apenas figurantes.
No final da cena eu já estava muito mais perto e fotografei Matt Damon a ver o resultado da filmagem.
Eu não sou paparazzi, mas um grande fan de Matt Damon, e gostaria muito de poder entrevista-lo e fazer-lhe uns retratos, maybe next time....

Not much of News....But still working....

Well its summer and there is not much things happening in Lisbon and I'm not having that much assignments, normally doing just one service a day and nothing really hot as news, only the temperatures in Lisbon. This gives me time to go back to my archive and organize it and look again to old photos.
One of the folders of photos I've been organizing and editing is the one with photos from New York. I went there last December to attend a four days Photography Workshop of Raw Workflow by D65.
I stayed for two weeks and during that time I always carried my camera with me doing thousands of photographs.
In New York streets there is so much diversity of people and cultures, you can find people from all over the world, and I don't mean tourists but people that live there and consider them selfs "locals". I personally think it it one of the most amazing cities in terms of stories and moods. The streets of New York have a unique atmosphere that I tried to capture and transmit in my photographs.
Because I think that these little moments I capture with my camera are history, and of course will never repeat again, I prefer the black and white format.

Street Sales

In New York you can find everything selling on the streets from Gucci handbags to Rolex Watches, after a day walking in Manhattan, I found this guy selling expensive coats for just twenty dollars, people where crazy, specially women jumping and trying hard to get to the coats because they were selling really fast. Again I recorded the sounds wile I was making the photos. I think you can feel more the scene and almost be there.

The Trompet Friends

This is my first slideshow project with sounds recorded during the time I was taking photos. I meet Peter and Sam during december this year in New York at Columbus Circle where they play really nice Christmas songs with they're trompete and trombone.
